Continence Management Program
You don't have to suffer in silence. One out of ten adults suffer from bladder control problems. Although it is more common in women with half of all women experiencing urinary incontinence (the accidental loss of urine) at some point in their lives, children and men also face urinary incontinence.
The issue is all around us, yet almost no one talks about it. Even fewer seek the treatments that can help them with only 50% of those with some form of incontinence ever telling their physician.
Unwanted loss of urine (incontinence) is not a normal part of aging, but is a symptom of other medical problems. It could be the result of pelvic muscles weakened froom childbirth, stroke, diabetes, bladder infection, side effects of medication, prior surgery, or radiation treatments.
Simple treatments and testing can help most people with incontinence.

What is Urinary Incontinence?
It is an unplanned loss of urine, in large amounts or small drops. Either way, it's embarrassing and causes discomfort. But, you're not alone. Millions of people who suffer from urinary incontinece often need to protect themselves with diapers or pads. However, with treatment, urine loss can often be cured or improved.
Understanding what's causing your incontinece is the first step in helping you gain control. There are three types of incontinence. Do you experience:
- Urge Incontinence? Do you lose urine when you stand up? Do you need to know where the bathrooms are? Do you void often?
- Stress Incontinence? Do you leak urine when you sneeze, cough, laugh, exercise, or lift heavy objects?
- Overflow Incontinence? Do you dribble urine throughout the day? Do you ever feel like you've never completely emptied your bladder?
If you've answered yes to any of the questions above, you should see a physician to help cure or improve your incontinence.
The goal of our program is to help you stay drier, reduce the need for protection, and help with urgency and pelvic floor problems.
