Misty Wessing P.A.-C, joined Dupage Urology Associates, Ltd as a Urology Physician Assistant (P.A.) in October, 2011. Misty is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the State of Illinois to conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and write prescriptions among other activities. Misty will be performing these duties under the supervision of a physician, although a physician’s presence is not necessary. The presence of P.A.s allows patients to be seen promptly and effectively and physicians are always available for consultation as may be required. P.A.’s routinely treat common patient complaints as well as acute issues and provide patient education and counseling.
Misty completed her Bachelor's of Science degree at University of Saint Francis in 2002 and received her Master's of Medical Science for Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in 2005. Misty has been practicing in medical groups in Illinois since 2005 and has practiced in urology for the past 5 years. Misty is active in a number of social service and community groups and likes to spend her spare time with family, friends and Dixie, her yellow Labrador.
